When you get your style inspiration from a Panda…

Wearing black and white head-to-toe has become my go to look these days, it’s the easiest formula for a put-together look. Whether it’s a white dress with black accessories, or a white blouse paired with this season’s trouser or graphic stripes, it’s hard to mess up this timeless color combination. You don’t have to spend time worrying about what accessories will coordinate since black and white goes with everything from a crimson lip color to a leopard-print pair of heels.

London Fashion Week 2016

I cannot believe it is all over! For years now a big dream of mine was to go to London Fashion Week, I decided to knock it off my bucket list and took the plunge and booked it!

From strolling through the streets of London, shopping on Oxford Street, meeting with public relations companies and mingling on Brewers Street carpark, and just taking in the entire experience that is LFW – it seems like it was a dream! Luckily I got to spend four and half amazing days in London taking in its unique culture, city and fashion experience. London is honestly like its own world, Fashion is at its peak with every second person possessing a unique and individual style. I personally have quite a unique style (sometimes looking like the basic bitch from the mall) but am always some way wary of expressing it through my clothing but in London I had no problem and blended straight in. It is amazing to see somewhere celebrate individuals and their unique flare, no two people are painted the same and it’s a trait about the city I absolutely love.

The catwalk presentations were incredible, one of my favorites was Paul Costelle.

Paul Costelloe is one of the most established names in British and Irish fashion. Since the establishment of the fashion house under his own name, this family owned and run business has been a leader in the use of hand-crafted, luxurious fabrics combined with cutting edge design, innovation and creativity.

Hotel accommodations while in London

ibis Styles London Heathrow

Even though it was one night and basically just enough time to take 5 hour nap before heading out,  it was perfect after a 7 hour flight from New York.

I was pleasantly surprised by the exceptionally warm welcome we received upon check-in by Rhianna Vaccaro, which was as efficient as it was warm. Immediately upon approaching the hotel it’s abundantly evident that this is a hotel offering a smart and professional standard.

During our 3 night stay I found all of the staff to be above average to that I normally encounter in hotels. They were all extremely warm, polite and professional right down to the cute gentleman that delivered our room service.

Breakfast was filled with a trendy variety of delicious carbohydrates and a fancy latte machine. Overall it was well-managed by welcoming and efficient staff.

Overall a great stay, definitely coming back to this one.

It’s in a wonderful location, across Pall Mall, near the British Tourist office. We arrived very early in the morning, and to my surprise our room was available.  Immediately after we checked in we were offered tea in the lovely Rose Room located next to the lobby where one can read and sip a cup of tea. The entire room is awash in roses: the upholstery, the carpets, the chairs, the paintings, the china — everything.

The ever so friendly staff member, Raquel.

Once refreshed, we headed off to have breakfast.  The buffet style breakfast bar had everything from homemade pastries and freshly squeezed juices.

Service with a smile.  Staff member, Mattia (isn’t he adorable?)

Now let talk about the room. There’s all kinds of swag, including slippers, a fancy Nespresso machine, Hermes shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion!

The bed was like sleeping on a cloud lined with the finest egyptian cotton and the room service was very satisfying (especially the creme brûlée).

After this weekend London has stolen my heart and LFW has opened my eyes to an entirely different world of fashion. I was lucky enough to fit so much into my 4 1/2 days there and will definitely be returning for next seasons London Fashion Week in February.

London I will see you soon.
