Hello Long Island, New York!

Upon my arrival in Long Island I was blown away by the beautiful beach, not to mention the cuties running along the boardwalk. Long Island Beaches are world-renowned for their fine white sand, spectacular waves, miles of board walks, beach trails, restaurants, picnic areas, and beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Of all the fun activities in Long Island, New York, spending a day on the shore was at the top of my list.

Beaches there are popular vacation destinations for those who love to swim, fish, kayak, surf and scuba dive–you’ll never tire of all the things to do on Long Island. And I heard that two of their beaches were ranked number one in Dr. Beach’s Top Ten Beaches list, you’re sure to be impressed with what they have to offer.

Where I stayed:  Allegria Hotel

This hotel is supposed to be Long Island’s only luxury oceanfront hotel, However I wasnt impressed.  Although, The decor and ambiance was definitely on point, I can’t say the same about their customer service. For example, check in is at 4pm, we arrived at 3:30 and they made us wait till exactly 4.  The room presentation was lovely, but if you wanted the air on you had to leave the curtains open otherwise they blocked the flow of the air.

Moving on…The resturaunt only served a buffet style breakfast which is not ideal if you only want a bowl of oatmeal or a simple bagel. Lastly,  I’ll close with a positive note…the lounge was amazing and so were the drinks and appetizers and when it came time to relax, we slipped away to the rooftop pool and enjoyed the view.
